Hemp Seed Planting At Hemp Farm with new Photos

It is a pain having more than one hemp seed farming blog. I accidentally created my latest blog at http://www.hempowered.com/hemp-blog/2011/11/14/81-final-hemp-seed-planting.html

Rather than duplicate, I trust you will go and visit there and enjoy the great hemp seed planting photos and description.

All the planting is done and we are now enjoying the sun and rain!

Planting hemp seeds at the hemp heart

At the hemp farm we have a test crop with 6 varieties of industrial hemp - in a hollow heart shape.
We also have a large commercial crop at a different location where we are growing one dual crop for fiber and seed.
Enjoy this video showing some hand planting of hemp seeds at the heart of Byron Bay!

The hemp farm is growing hemp seeds for Hemp Foods Australia who supply hemp seeds, hemp oil and hemp protein from their Byron Bay based facility.

Broadcasting seeds and sprouting love

Yesterday we broadcast 500g of our seeds to test the germination rate on our main land. Let's see what that brings.

Meanwhile at the hemp heart the new babies have poked their heads out of the ground and are growing nicely.

Hemp Heart

As well as our main crop, we are growing an experimental crop at the Hemp Farm. This crop will include about 6 varieties of hemp in the shape of a heart.

This involves child labour, fun and smiles in the creation!

Please contact us if you want to help out this week, or planting next week!

Ordering nutrients

Ordered a truck load of lime from local farmers cooperative, and some micro nutrients to ensure our hemp crop is going to be the best ever.

We are growing a dual fibre/seed crop for the main crop.

On another plot we will trial lots of varieties and lots of fun additions...

Planting is planned for November 10th dependent on weather
